What is Sentou?
Sentou (Sentō) is a Japanese word for "fight" or "battle." The logo was a design we thought was cool, and reflected the remainder of the message which is a fresh and artistic urban style. It's a reminder for people to work hard, no matter what it is you are doing, but remember to have fun.
How did Sentou start?
While training in the gym one day, we realized that the current design styles of MMA clothing didn’t represent who we are. We felt that MMA is a part of an overall culture of action sports, and should be represented as such. It’s not about looking the baddest; it’s about pushing your limits and enjoying the sport. Sentou represents exactly that. Simply put, we are good people who aren't afraid to step up or go big.
Who is Sentou?
Malachi
Works the daily as a contractor. Once did a face plant on a 6 inch step on his bike. Has a pitbull named Aiden that goes to work with him everyday. Used to think he was a B-Boy. Enjoys BBQs and chillin by the fire all night. Is way better than Shingo at BBQ. Unfortunately jumped out of a two story building barefoot in boxer shorts in Hawaii. Has a Bachelors in Business Administration. Is a total tech geek. Grew up in Monterey, CA. Misses the daily surf sessions. Is a terrible boxer. Once had Malachi "The Mad Eye" Boyce announced on his way to the ring. Practices duck calls while driving. Loves Thrice, Playing Guitar, Lil Wayne, Riding BMX, Snowboarding, Fuel TV, Fish Tanks and Aquatic Sciences, and Trolli Bright Crawler Eggs Candies!
Shingo
Thinks Anthony Bordain is cool. Feels nothing will top fresh powder on the mountains and dropping off of cornices and cliffs. Once pursed 940 bucks for knocking out his opponent in the cage with a knee. Has Scoe’s #1 on his mind. Feels genuine teaching is the greatest gift one can give. Cooks during the day and grapples at night. Feels nothing is wrong with dribbling a basketball in the front yard alone without a hoop. Forever feels that cartoons are FRESH. Medeski, Martin and Wood or MF Doom? Eats tons of candy.
